A Team Approach to Evaluation and Recommendations for Augmentative and Alternative Communication Controls

Chair: Rachel Haines, CCC-SLP, MSCS

In this session, the transdisciplinary approach to MS Rehab and AAC will be outlined by a speech-language pathologist, occupational therapist, and physical therapist. Clinicians will also discuss challenges and strategies to facilitate cross-discipline communication to ultimately enhance the quality of care provided for persons living with MS with AAC needs. Clinicians will highlight funding sources and limitations as well as clinician and patient resources available to assist. Level of Information: Intermediate
