Women in Neurology: Building Skills for Thriving in Your Career
Chair: Carrie M Hersh, DO MSc FAAN (Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health)
This program is designed to build off of previous CMSC symposia on enhancing opportunities for women in the MS field. The faculty members will lead highly interactive and dynamic skill building exercises to promote successful careers. These topics include self-promotion, negotiating and assertiveness training, professional engagement and allyship, and tools for encouraging healthy career growth and burnout awareness and prevention through work-life integration. The faculty will include hands-on activities on self-promotion, negotiation, networking, and leadership skills, whereby participants will receive coaching through role-play scenarios that will help raise confidence in the workplace. This symposium will encourage information sharing among the participants so that they will leave the program with a wide range of key recommendations from hands-on skill building.
