Whitaker Track-When Does Multiple Sclerosis Start?

Chair: Ahmed Z Obeidat, MD, PhD (Medical Collge of Wisconsin)

When does multiple sclerosis (MS) start? It is a question that remains unanswered. Are we diagnosing MS early enough? Can we improve our diagnostic process? In this session, we will explore the question. The session will start with a description of a few clinical accounts that challenge some of the current concepts in the diagnosis of MS, followed by a detailed discussion on the so-called MS prodrome by Prof. Tremlett. This is to be followed by learning about the recent advances in diagnosing and treating isolated syndrome by Prof. Okuda radiologically. Finally, the session will conclude by exploring how to integrate technology into the diagnosis and care of MS by Dr. McGinley. Join us for a vibrant discussion and a deep delve into the concept of MS diagnosis. Level of Information: Advanced
