The Evolving Role of High Efficacy, Anti-CD40 Therapeutics for Relapsing Multiple Sclerosis

Program Overview:

This CME/CE program will examine the evolving role of high-efficacy anti-CD40 therapeutics in relapsing multiple sclerosis (RMS), with a focus on how emerging treatments may address both acute and chronic neuroinflammation. Expert faculty, Dr. Fred Lublin, will first review evolving concepts in MS pathophysiology, including the role of CNS-compartmentalized inflammation, microglial activation, meningeal lymphoid follicles, and progression independent of relapse activity. Dr. Lublin will then explore the CD40/CD40L pathway, elucidating its role in innate and adaptive immune activation for patients with MS. To conclude, ongoing clinical trial data in RMS and non-relapsing secondary progressive MS, including IV and subcutaneous administration strategies, will be discussed and contextualized for current clinical implications.
