Target Audience

General neurology physicians, PAs, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other healthcare professionals involved in the treatment of patients with MS.

Program Overview

A comprehensive curriculum designed to provide non-MS specialists with up-to-date and relevant information on the safe and optimal use of newer treatments for MS.

Accreditation Statement

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CMSC) and Catamount Medical Education. CMSC is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Credit Available

  • Module 1: Introduction (45 minutes)
    • Physicians — maximum of 0.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™
    • Nurses — 0.75 contact hours of nursing continuing professional development credit (NCPD) (0.75 in the area of pharmacology).
    • Pharmacists — 0.75 contact hours (0.075 CEUs) of continuing pharmacy education credit.
  • Module 2: Newer Oral Therapies, part 1 (60 minutes)
    • Physicians — maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™
    • Nurses — 1.0 contact hours of nursing continuing professional development credit (NCPD) (1.0 in the area of pharmacology).
    • Pharmacists — 1.0 contact hours (0.1 CEUs) of continuing pharmacy education credit.
  • Module 3: Newer Oral Therapies, part 2 (45 minutes)
    • Physicians — maximum of 0.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™
    • Nurses — 0.75 contact hours of nursing continuing professional development credit (NCPD) (0.75 in the area of pharmacology).
    • Pharmacists — 0.75 contact hours (0.075 CEUs) of continuing pharmacy education credit.
  • Module 4: Newer Monoclonal Antibodies (45 minutes)
    • Physicians — maximum of 0.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™
    • Nurses — 0.75 contact hours of nursing continuing professional development credit (NCPD) (0.75 in the area of pharmacology).
    • Pharmacists — 0.75 contact hours (0.075 CEUs) of continuing pharmacy education credit.

All other healthcare professionals completing this course will be issued a statement of participation.
