Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of nursing professionals, physicians, advanced practice clinicians, social workers, and other members of the healthcare team involved in the management of patients with MS.Learning Objectives
Upon completing this activity, participants should be better able to:- Identify modifiable risk factors of urinary tract infections in order to initiate strategies aimed at prevention and early recognition.
- Accurately identify specific, actionable interventions to address the identified area of risk with a goal of preventing and reducing urinary tract infections.
- Describe the benefits of engaging a multidisciplinary team as partners to prevent and reduce urinary tract infections.

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CMSC) and Independence Care System. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. The CMSC maintains responsibility for this course. Social workers completing this course receive 1.0 continuing education general credits. Certificate of Attendance for Other Healthcare Professionals A Certificate of Attendance will be given upon completion of course requirements enabling participants to register their credit with the appropriate licensing boards or associations.
