This course provides a comprehensive exploration of GLP-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs), from their historical development and mechanistic foundations to emerging applications in multiple sclerosis (MS) and practical clinical experience. Participants will gain an understanding of how GLP-1 RAs function, their potential neuroprotective and immunomodulatory effects, and the current state of preclinical and clinical research in MS. Real-world insights from prescribing GLP-1 RAs in MS patients will be shared, including observed outcomes, patient selection considerations, and strategies for integration into practice.
